How to use it in a Scrabble or Words With Friends game
The obvious use is finding the longest word in your rack. The more valuable use is the advanced filters. In a real game you are almost never playing into empty space — you are hooking onto a letter already on the board.
Set contains to that letter and you will only see words that can use it. Set starts with or ends with when you are playing off the beginning or end of an existing word. That turns a list of 200 possibilities into the handful you can actually place.
Scores are tile values, not turn scores
The number beside each word is the sum of its letter values in English Scrabble. Your real score depends on premium squares, whether you use all seven tiles for the 50-point bonus, and any additional words formed in the same move. A high-value word on plain squares often scores less than a modest one across a triple-word.
Blank tiles
Each ? can stand in for any letter. Blanks dramatically widen the results — and remember they score zero, so a word built around a blank is worth less than its listed value suggests.
About the dictionary
We use a large open English word list of about 359,000 entries. It is broader than the official tournament lists (TWL and SOWPODS), so it includes some archaic and technical words that a strict Scrabble judge would reject. Words known to be in common use are highlighted, and the "common words only" toggle filters the rest out.
If you are playing competitively under official rules, treat this as a study aid rather than an authority.

How do I use blank tiles?

Why is there a letter limit?
Fifteen letters. The number of possible sub-combinations grows extremely fast, and beyond that the search stops being quick enough to feel instant.
